Memories of Scott
reported by Crowther, David on 8/01/00

I can't even begin to express the feelings I felt when I heard about Scott. For the last five years he's been one of the best friends and climbing partners I could have asked for. Despite moving all over the country, he always found time to keep in touch. He was due to be in my wedding in September, and his presence will be greatly missed. Mr. and Mrs. Kinkele, your son touched so many lives in such a positive manner. Thank you for that. I have posted a few of the photos that provide me with such great memories of Scott. I hope they bring some happy memories of the person we will all miss.

"Never take times with friends for granted. One day you may
understand  why I live  my life the way I do (maybe I will understand
too)...I climb...in climbing I am put in a position where two people are
suffering, and the only way to make it out is  to pull together. The feeling
of living, completing a climb, finishing...there will be a celebration
with those who saw you through those times.
Be glad that those times exist. They are special moments."
