Subject: Scott

Our family had only moved to Anacortes, from Southern California, just

four months prior to your family's tragedy.  We had hoped that we were

leaving the insanity, that was quite common there, behind.

We wept with your family upon hearing about Scott's death...which shall

always be a stab in the heart to all who love life, decency, and honor.  My

mother-in-law once said of Anacortes, "If this isn't heaven, it's the

next step to it"...for Scott, Anacortes did become that step.  Our

pastor, our congregation, we all felt the loss...a young man whom anyone

could have been proud to have known.  When we reach heaven, we shall

salute, embrace, and thank Scott for the way he lived, and the wonderful

example he set for our youth.

Scott, we didn't know you personally, yet every time we drive past your

memorial on Hwy 20, you have helped us to keep our journey here

reality based...this world isn't our real home, yet

we desire that our lives here, and that of our children, will make a

difference in life of someone else, as did yours...our hope rests in the

knowledge that we shall see your smile one day, and say our 'thank you',

face-to-face.  To your family, we can only join in with the thousands, to

say that we are so saddened by your absence, and that our prayers for

them shall continue.

Thank you for allowing us to share our sorrow with you.
