Never forget you

To Scott's Family and
Friends,
I only knew Scott for a
very short time. He and I climbed together with several other
people during his time in Annapolis. When I met Scott I honestly thought he was
about
28 or 29 years old. At the time he was only 20!! Scott carried himself with
such poise
and maturity, yet had enough "kid" in him to keep everyone laughing
with his antics and
jokes. His wit and humor brightened many dark days.
Over the months that I knew
Scott I was endlessly impressed at his courage, fearlessness
and determination. He was younger than all of us, yet had more life experience
and
enthusiasm than all of us combined. I watched him in awe as he climbed and
spoke
of his adventures, never believing how young he was. Scott's smile and
personality lit up
any room he was in. He had a presence about him that I'll sincerely never
forget. Scott taught
me a lot about facing and overcoming fears and living your dreams. For that,
I'll be forever
grateful.
I want to express my
deepest sympathy to each and every person who knew Scott, his family
and his friends. Scott touched many lives and will continue to live on in all
of us. I only knew
him a short time and feel such pain and sadness. I can only imagine the pain
and loss that
everyone else is feeling. I feel blessed to have been able to cross paths with
such an amazing
and inspiring person.
With deepest sympathy and
respect,
Jill Garaffa
