My most meaningful memory of Scott~
This past January, my new husband of less than one month, died from
a Of course there was a lot of fun and games, too, but my favorite
memory Scott was heaven's blessing in human form. Not too often do we come

fatal gunshot wound, hurling me into a pit of despair and
confusion.
Scott was a dear friend who stood by me through the hardships and
pain
that followed. My class (Scott was also my classmate) was told that they
could not come to the funeral or be with me
in Harlingen, Texas during this
period. Scott, along with "Pony" and
others, put his neck on the line and
fought for the right for the whole
class to be with me during the funeral. It
meant so much to me on that
awful day to see Scott and the other classmates.
I didn't really know
my new in-laws yet and felt so alone. He did all he
could to be a help
to others. I will never forget the feeling of joy I had
despite the
circumstances when I looked up and saw my class family, headed by
Scott,
to support me that day. With Kat's assistance, Scott created a
hand-made card with different
colored paper and rubber stamps--a precious
keepsake to treasure forever--and I
told him that! Scott remained a close
friend and confidant up until
this unspeakable event.
was how he stuck up for me and supported me when I was alone in
my
pain. Often he would come to my room at the BOQ and check up on me
to
cheer me up and make sure I was ok. He didn't leave until I smiled
or
he got me to laugh.
across
such a beautiful person with such generosity and kindness. All
of us who were
so touched by his life will carry a piece of him in our
hearts forever. We
will never stop loving him and the memories he left
us with.
