Dear Kinkele Family,

I first met Scott at last years Hot August Night Run in

Austin Tx. We ran the first 15 miles or so together in the afternoon

heat until Scott had enough of my walk breaks and went on ahead. He

ended up tying for first place by running over 31 miles. Over the

course of the next year I encountered Scott at other races and also at

some of the MAMA runs here in Austin. I found him to be a great young

man and I know I speak for several of Scott's acquaintances here in the

Austin area when I tell you we feel like we "lost one of our own". His

memory will always be with us. In your grieving please don't forget

that Scott would have wanted everyone to move on to the next adventure!!
