Dear friends and family of Scott

I only met Scott a couple of times, through my good friend Mike Peterson. 
Simply listening to Mike tell stroies of he and Scott's adventures, and of
Scott's character, was more than enough to make me want to meet Scott. 

I was fortunate to have had that opportunity, thanks to Mike, and I
immediately knew that Scott is the kind of person who is a shining light,
full of the love of life and of people that gave him is beaming and boundless
energy. 

When he did the bicycle ride to Whitney Portal, and then the challenging hike
to Denali, I knew that Scott was a great, adventurous and inspiring spirit. 
I will forever remember him.
